X41 Tablet button configuration?

#1 Post by beq » Wed Sep 21, 2005 4:57 pm

I wanted to ask how others have configured their X41T tablet buttons (the ones running along the bezel edge of the screen).

I leave the [Up] and [Down] buttons set to the default ("up" and "down" arrow key presses). I'd tried to set them to "mouse wheel up" and "mouse wheel down", but the default seems more versatile overall.

For the rest of the tablet buttons, I'm toying with some alternative settings (configurations below are for primary portrait orientation):

* CONFIGURATION 1 *
[Enter] button set to: "navigate backward"
[Esc] button set to: "navigate forward"
[Tablet Shortcut Menu] button set to: launch "IBM Tablet Shortcut" application (default setting)
[Screen Rotation] button set to: key press "alt+tab"

* CONFIGURATION 2 *
[Enter] button set to: key press "enter" (default setting)
[Esc] button set to: key press "tab"
[Tablet Shortcut Menu] button set to: key press "alt+tab"
[Screen Rotation] button set to: launch "IBM Tablet Shortcut" application (I swapped it from the above default button)

I wish there were more tablet buttons available. I also wish that "alt+tab" cycles through all the open windows in a round-robin fashion (instead of toggling between the two most recent windows). Does anyone know of another key press combination that does this?
