Can any 2.5" drive be used with the X41 in the X4 Ultra

I keep reading about SATA/PATA, BIOS error 2010 problems etc. with the X41 (and the T43) and non-Hitachi drives. I'm currently using an X31, an Ultrabase X3 and a bunch of 60 GB Toshiba drives (MK6022GAX). I'm considering moving to an X41 and an Ultrabase X4. Would I be able to use my existing Toshibas as 2nd HDD in the X4? Would bigger/newer non-Hitachi drives cause problems in the X4?
