Is it possible to get the x41t at my door in less than 1 wk?

Here's a summary:

- I called IBM last tuesday to see how long it would take to get an X41t. He said 6 were going to be in stock on the 10th of October, but 10 people are on the waiting list. He said the next batch would be in 2-3 weeks.

- I ordered the x41t last Wednesday expecting the 2-3 week delay.

- Friday I saw the money taken out of my VISA... so I called to see why.

- The IBM woman said that my item already shipped as is expected to arrive today.


Is this even possible? I see no way of this happening unless they found a crate of x41t's hidden away somewhere. Is it possible they screwed up my order or something?

She also said it was shipped by Nadiscorp. I won't be home today to get the order so does anyone know if Nadiscorp allows pickups if the delivery failed?

Any info is appreciated. I'm confused... especially since everyone here says how long it takes to get the tablets.

I know someone who ordered an R50e 1842-SLU (the R and X series are both made by Winstron), and there was supposedly a four week wait for it to just ship out. It was on his doorstep within a week.

Lenovo's tracking system is horribly borked. HORRIBLY.

they should email you a tracking number..

or, at least, an order number and you can go to the order status page, insert your customer number and the order number and get all the info you want..

Hey BillMorrow, thanks for the info, but the Canadian site doesn't offer any order status information that I can find. Also they didn't send me a tracking number or anything through email, but I called today and got a tracking number. It's a delivery company that I've never heard of before and they're online ordering system isnt very good.

I called the shipping company today (took 4 calls to get the right place) and they said it should come tomorrow or wednesday if they file the paper work today.

I'm wondering if they maybe shipped me the accessories that came with the machine and will ship the tablet itself later on.

Hey, I live in Toronto too, and also got the 18666. Crazy, I'm glad its so quick then... I just dont really understand why they don't know their own stock.

It all depends on the status of the 10 orders that were placed prior to yours. For example, if 6 of the 10 orders were on hold, pending a credit card authorization, and yours authorized before theirs, and in time for the stock to come in - then you would be bumped up in front of them. It also depends on how you have the order setup. There are 3 options to control the method in how items are shipped. If, for example, several of the 10 people before you, had selected to wait until all of the parts on their order were in stock, until everything ships, then that could have explained it as well.

Yeah, I ordered the sleeve and that came 3 days after the Tablet. The tablet ships from the GTA so you'll have it in no time.
