Turn off pc speaker on X41

#1 Post by argem » Wed Oct 19, 2005 9:14 am

Hi,

Is there a way to turn of the pc speaker "beep" on the x41? Or maybe lower the volume? The X41 does not have any volume keys on the keyboard =(. The "beep volume" does not get affected when I lower the sound volume in Windows, allthough it does get muted when I mute all sounds. But that is not a good idea, because I still want to be able to use "normal" sound in Windows.

I have looked around in bios and can not find anything about it. I have found the options to disable beeps when entering sleep mode etc. But that is not what I am looking for.

Kind regards,
Andreas

Go to Device Manager and show hidden devices. Then disable the Beep device in Non-Plug and Play drivers.
