replacing case x32

first day i got it, i scuffed up the area by the stickers using rubbing alcohol. I want to know if i can buy a new case for just the area where the stickers are originally. Would this void the warranty? and how much would it cost

Basically you need to replace the palm rest. the good news is that removing it is ery easy ( i had to when i installed bluetooth). you'll have to order the part from ibm, download the hardware maintenance manual and find the part number. it's probably not that expensive and should arrive in a few days. good as new.

from the looks of it, the part just pops off...(Keyboard bezel assembly for X31, X32 -part 13N5337) Wont this void the warranty somehow?
