Size Comparisons
Size Comparisons
Is there a website that has a size compare between the X and T series - in picture form. I can see pictures of the X - but like pictures to get that depth comparison.

Pictures help, but when you put them side by side in real life, the size differences are greater than the pictures would have you believe.
I just bought an X32 and sold my T42p, with the two side-by-side for a few days while I transfered my life from the T and onto the X. While on its own the X32 looks small, next to the T (14") it looks positively tiny. I'd imagine an X41 would have a similar effect when placed next to the X32. On paper the size difference isn't that great, but in real life I am sure it is significant.

No. The X40 is considerably smaller than the X2x and X3x series. My X32 is about the same size as the X21 I used to have, though the X21 was about .3 or .4 lbs lighter.

The X20/21 with the XGA screen is 3.52 or 3.53 pounds, depending upon what page you read on IBM's site.
Mine weighs less, because pieces keep falling off. I think the left hinge on my LCD's disintegrated, and is now falling out of the side of the bezel.
The X20/21 SVGA, OTOH, was in the 3.1 pound area.
Anyway, the X32 (well, the 2884-A2U) is 3.6 pounds according to Lenovo.
The X40 2386-BHU is 2.78 pounds.
IIRC, the X41s weigh the same, but I can't find any quickly with a 4-cell.

Guess I was wrong on the X21 weight. Mine was XGA, so must have been confused on teh specs with the SVGA model.
If the X32 is only .1lb heavier, then I'm even happier with the design of this model as compared to the X21 I used to own.
Either way, I'm very pleased with the X32 and don't remember the weight of the X21 enough to find the new one heavier or lighter.
