I recently purchased on eBay a replacement X31 battery. However, the computer doesn't seem to recognize the battery. With the old battery, the power meter in Windows XP shows the battery manufacturer, its serial number, and the percent charged. With the replacement battery, it doesn't provide any of the manufacturer information, no serial number, and says 0% charged. This is after it was allowed to charge all night long with the laptop turned off. With the new battery, the battery status indicator flashes orange all of the time. It never changed to flashing green, much less solid green. I tried a separate new battery, and got the same results.
Has anyone purchased a replacement battery for your X31 on eBay and had it work properly?
Any suggestions?
Thanks.
Charlie
