Serial Number Change after System Board Swap

Guys,

When a system board is changed on an X series laptop, do we need to change the serial number in the BIOS & if so how do we do it please?

The vendor changing the system board should be re-setting the serial and model number on the new system board. Ask them to do it (they will have the hardware maintenance diskette).
