Trackpoint jumping to bottom of screen and OS reinstall help

Hey all. I have two questions for you. First, my mouse on my Thinkpad X41 Tablet keep jumping down to the bottom center of the screen all the time. This is making the computer very hard to use! Does anyone know the cause of this or how to fix it?

Second, I would like to reinstall just Windows XP Tablet PC but I do not know how to do it. I followed a guide posted here on how to do it for XP Pro from a T43 but that didn't work for me with Tablet. Can anyone point me in the direction of a guide that works for re-installing just the Tablet OS? Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks

Edit: I also have a dark spot in the lower right corner of my screen. Does anybody else have this. Is this just a manuf defect or should I ask to have my screen replaced? Thanks again.

was this spot there from the beginning? such spots may develop overtime if you press hard on the screen or could be a manuf defect. Again, if the laptop still has a warranty - call them up and tell to fix the problem. The screen is not a CRP part so you'll have to send them the laptop, unless you have a special onsite warranty ..

Also, there are several threads about the jumping cursor. I also have the jumping cursor problem which I am told by Lenovo is caused by some conflict between the Trackpoint driver and the digitizer driver.

Thanks for the help all. Between the clicking of the hard drive, slow performance, screen issues and the trackpoint problem; I decided to return the computer. Overall, I was very disappointed with this purchase for an item with the Thinkpad badge. I am now looking at the HP tc 4200 (larger but with a much better record). Thanks again.
