CSSAUTHEN.EXE error

I was fooling around with msconfig "startup", i turned off some thinkpad features. what does cssauthen.exe do? cuz i'm getting an error every so often that pops up something like 'cssauthen.exe failed to load error'

I forget the name of the program, but CSS is the security program that came with your Thinkpad.
