Hi people,
my new (old) X23 I bought 3 days ago is not holding the LCD. It falls backwards or forwards... The hinges are kinda loose and not holding anymore. Is there anyway to fix it or do I have to replace them?
cheers,

More than likely with my experience with other systems (but not the X20 in general), you should be able to pop out some screw covers that are on the LCD and adjacent to the hinges, and tighten the screws underneath.
I'm surprised that screen is that loose, of all the laptops I've worked with over the years, Dell, Toshiba, Sony, the IBM's seem to have the best overall hinges.

Oh I see. I am gonna do it to see if problem can be solved. I dont know how it was used since I bought it out of Ebay. Another problem I saw on it was the weak sound coming out of the speaker. I've tried to listen to music using a headset and it comes out weak as well. But the system config shows no conflict or error. Would you be able to gimme a light on this matter too?
Thanks a lot!!!!!
