Hi,
I have an X40 (2386-GHU).
I wanted to replace my HDD (Hitachi 40GB) so I did a ghost of it over LAN (I do this all the time with PC, laptop, ever server), shut it down, remove the battery etc... (I did follow the instruction)
Installed my new hard drive (Hitachi 40GB, same FRU), put back on my ghost image.
When everyting was done, hit restart. The IBM splash screen appear, but WinXP won't start.
Activate the "Diagnostic" boot mode (I see all step of the POST) and after the message "IBM Hard Drive Active Protection sensor diagnostics start." I only have a black screen, no HDD activity.
The DFT advanced test, put back again the ghost image, still nothing.
Anybody have an idea?
