HOT notebook X40

#1 Post by amgdoc » Fri Apr 14, 2006 8:10 pm

My notebook on the right side, under the pcmia and minipci slots, is getting really hot. Anyway I reduce the heat?

Right next to the CDC and above the RAM slot, the shiny metal is the hottest and seems to be giving out the most heat. I have no idea what is there. The fancontrol indicates everything mid to high 30s except PCM in the high 40s and sometimes 50s.

solutions? wish i can take a pic but digicam is lost...
