Screen sparkles on ThinkPad X40

#1 Post by hutty2000 » Thu May 11, 2006 1:20 am

Hi, I bought a ThinkPad X40 (2371K1U) last October. The TFT screen sparkles sometimes (not very offen), can anybody tell me why? what is the problem, or is it a big problem?
(Since I am in Denmark now, I can not call the IBM service in US.)
Thanx

Have you performed all updates for your machine?

Do you run Software Installer on a regular (weekly) basis?

What programs are normally open and running on your system? What applications are listed in the Icons in your Toolbar

Actually, I never perform any update for my machine and never use the software installer. Is that necessary?
Usually, I only run some basic programs on my computer, such as MS office, Acrobat Photoshop, MSN, skype

Only if you want the machine to operate correctly.

Install and run the software Installer.
