X41 tablet - screen auto rotation?

My X41 tablet used to auto rotate the screen when I would move it into tablet mode. It no longer does this, and I have to manually rotate the screen by pressing the orientation button.

Is there a setting somewhere to enable / disable automatic screen rotation?

Yes. Press the "toolbox" button on the LCD bezel (the one between the rotate and Esc buttons) and in the window that opens choose "Settings". On this dialog box is an area called "Auto Screen Rotation". Choose your desired default screen orientation there.
