Hello to all. I bought a refurbished X23 a week ago and am delighted with it. And it's great to have found this forum - which has already been of help to me as a newbie.
The X23 came with a 'good', but not new, battery - which I want to preserve for as long as possible. I will be using the machine via mains connection most of the time, so I charged up and then removed the battery. The idea is that this will avoid unnecessary battery re-charging cycles and extend the battery's life a bit. Is this harmful to my X23?
Removing the battery has made the X23 even lighter as well! But I am not happy about carrying it around with the battery compartment open to the world. So is there a blanking plate that I can get to cover the battery compartment ? Or maybe a lightweight 'dummy' battery that I can use? And (if these things exist) any pointers on where to get them from? I live in the UK.
Running X23 without a battery?
