how do i access the other ram (x40)?

not the user serviceable one on the bottom. the OTHER one.

You have to disassemble the unit completely, but it won't get you anywhere as the base memory is soldered to the MB.

wow i just wasted my time. i put on new thermal paste though and fixed the clicking sound on the pc slot.

Well, if you fixed the other things, then I'd say that you didn't waste your time. 8)

thermal paste did nothing and i ended up not fixing the pc slot sound because i was afraid i wouldn't be able to put in a pc card in the future

so waste of time
