X22 Keyboard

#1 Post by red5torm » Sun May 28, 2006 1:57 am

Hi!

Anyone had problems on non responsive keys on X22? I've already tried reseating the keyboard cable but, no go.

Sometimes the key would work. I really don't know the problem.

Any help would be appreciated.

Does the key have a feel like it won't quite go all the way down, or have a slight mush to the feel?

Smash the key a few times hard, then give it a bunch of moderate presses. That should fix it, if that was the problem. And no eating around your computer. (No, really, that's what caused it on my X21, and what causes it on my R51e. ;))

I really don't know if that would work. But since I got the laptop 2nd hand from lady friend. I'm sure that the problem is related to anything that's related to eating while computing ;)

The keys' feel is normal and I think replacing the keyboard should help.

Any other suggestions would be welcome =)
