x40 powered usb port....

hi there,

what is the power of it?i mean the small one under the normal usb on the left side

some were saying 15v some 5v..

does anybody know for sure?

Maximum amperage that can go through a USB port under USB 2.0 specs is 500mA I believe (for most laptops anyway, I have heard the same of the Powerbooks as well); that should be constant no matter the shape or size of the USB port.

Volts aren't units of power, either. The standard, or at least most oft used and referenced, voltage I have heard for USB is around 5V.

that's what i knew as well, but somebody here claimed to be 15v, which seems abit wired and could burn my burner!

i;ll get the cables in 2 days...
