X24 docks in Ultrabase but there's no software confirmation

How come when I dock/undock my X24, it doesn't show the software notification (i.e. "Status: Remove system from Ultrabase 2000"), as shown in the movie link below?

What particular IBM software or Windows service do I need?

Nothing. If you have XP, there's no problem.
Usually a beep will sound and this is it.

Do you have an optical reader in the ultrabase? If yes the LED should light up in front of you on the base.

Yes, I do have XP. So I surmise this notification is only for NT, yes?

Maybe 2K but not XP for sure.
