X31 Weird battery/AC Issue

Hi to all, I'am new to this forum..

I have a 2 year old X31, I just recently have this problem.

The Battery can't Boot the laptop Up!

If you connect AC, with the battery plug-in, laptop will boot, and battery will charge, and if you disconnect the AC while in windows, the battery takes over, and will keep the laptop running on battery power. But if it's OFF, with a fully charged battery, it doesn't power on..weird.,.

The battery is still holding about 2hrs charge, done about 190 cycles.

Is it a battery problem? motherboard problem? or a Bios problem?

It still has 11 months warranty, should I just take it back to IBM/Lenovo?

FWIW: if that is the original battery then you are about a year over its expected life..

i'm not saying this is why it won't boot with the battery only, but its a place to start looking..
