Change machine type after Motherboard replacement?

#1 Post by bigtiger » Fri Jun 23, 2006 9:50 am

I replaced a motherboard for my X40. but it seems that I cannot get the machine type and subunit information after the motherboard replacement.

My machine is 2386-8EU.

The motherboard I ordered is a X40 compatible one but I think it is an X41T motherboard because only X41T bios upgrade can upgrade this motherboard.

The CPU is 1.5M with 256M memory.

By the way, anybody know how to check CPU model number?

You should try CpuID program for the CPU but I dont know for the other problem.

Best of luck
