x31 loose ac adapter
The ac adapter for my x31 is loose. It is connects and disconnects when I wiggle it and only works when it is rotated a certain way. This is true whether I plug it into the x3 dock or the x31 laptop itself. How do I remedy this? I tried some deoxit but that didnt work.

I assume that you're talking about the DC power connector at the end of the adapter's cable that plugs into the X31's power connector. Since your symptom is the same when plugging into the dock or the X31, the most likely cause is an intermittent break in the wire right near the plug.
If you're handy with a soldering iron, go to Radio Shack and buy a connector that's an exact fit for the existing power plug. There are lots of different sizes of these connectors, so take your adapter along to be sure.
Before removing the old plug, check to see which terminal is plus and which is minus. This may be marked on your adapter or on the mating connector on the X31.
Before you cut off the old plug, try wiggling the wire so that you can locate the exact spot where the break is. Then cut off the old plug just beyond the break and attach the new connector. Be certain to get the polarity the same. Check it with a Digital Multimeter if you have one.
If you're not handy with a soldering iron or don't know someone who is, then you could always replace the whole adapter.
