X41 and Bose Quitecomfort 2

Has anyone tried to use the above combination.

When using AC power, the headphones get buzzing sound (sounds like harmonics from the AC power).

I have used QC2 with T42, T41p, A31p, and X24 and I did not notice such issue. Then again I am not an audiophile so my ears are not that sensitive.

Have you tried QC2 with other equipments or laptops? Just to rule out the possibility that QC2 is at fault.

If it is in fact the sound source from X41 is the problem across all X41s, then I would get a PCMCIA sound card. A highly recommended is ECHO Indigo. It is somewhat pricey at $150-$200, but you will get superb sound quality and crystal clear sound from it. I am not sure how seriously you listen to music, but if you are then it should be a worthwhile investment.

Or if you are really really serious. The best portable earphone is the SHURE E500 at whooping $500. Yes $500   .
