Disabling beep

Yeah, isn't that an obnoxious noise that it makes?

You can disable it in the BIOS. Press F1 when starting the PC and then go to Config > Alarm and set "Power Control Beep" to "Disabled".

I disabled all 4 beep noises (Power Control Beep, Low Battery Alarm, Volume Beep, Password Beep). The beeps are so loud that they scare the bejeezus out of you if you aren't expecting them. They're loud enough to wake the dead!

Really? In my experience dead people tend to stay that way. I do remember the old "Weekend Update" news reports on SNL of the difficulty that Spain's Generalissimo Francisco Franco had in remaining dead, but I'm thinking he was the exception.
