And it is black. I'd say the Plextor is only smaller because they rounded off one of the corners.
By now, this guy probably offers models that are faster for similar price. As far as I can tell it's someone who buys large numbers of overstocked OEM laptop burners from manufacturers such as Sony/M a t s u s h i t a, Panasonic and NEC, and has generic USB enclosures made for them. Mine came with original Sony documentation.

I agree. The square one is just as small, but without the rounded edges.

I'm seriously contemplating buying one. IBM Canada sells the DVD-+RW burner version for $179 CDN but it occupies 2 usb ports (powered by two ports, no external power).
