X30 Problems

#1 Post by tburke » Thu Sep 07, 2006 5:57 am

Hey, I just picked up an X30 and I am in the process of upgrading it. Also, I tried to add my 100gb Seagate Ata Hard Drive, and my thinkpad refuses to recognize it. It worked fine in my older T20. I have tried using all of the updates for it, and it still will not work. I am stuck on an old, noisy 10gb, and I need some help. Thanks!

Memory: Your stick is probably only PC100, but you will need PC133 for the X30.

HDD: Is the 100GB drive SATA? You don't want that.

The Hard Drive is not SATA, it is just plain ATA and works fine in the older T20. I also just figured out that the other ram is PC100, thats my bad.
