Please advise--questions about a used X4 Ultrabase

I just bought a used X4 Ultrabase off of Ebay for my X40. I primarily want to use it to access the CD/RW I'm "harvesting" from the T-40 I'm selling.

Like most of these used units, it doesn't come with a key, power supply, or software. I don't need a key, since I will never be keeping it anywhere where it could get stolen. I'm not sure what the software would do. In terms of power supply, can I use the AC power supply that came with my X40 to power up the thing? If not, can anyone recommend a third party alternative? Thanks!

the dock station does NOT come with software, and you don't need any!
power supply neither, you use the one which came with the x40.

Thank you! X4 arrived today, and you were absolutely right on all counts. I can't see how anyone would buy one of these new--mine was $60 used and it looks and works like new.

I like them so much I have two, one at work and one at home. Everywhere else and in between I use my X41 the way it was meant to be used - LIGHT!
