There are three different ultrabay slim multi-burner (i.e. DVD-RW/+RW/RAM) drives listed on the Lenovo site:
ThinkPad Multi-Burner Plus Ultrabay Slim Drive (73P3342)
ThinkPad Super Multi-Burner Ultrabay Slim Drive - Curved Bezel (40Y8622)
ThinkPad Super Multi-Burner Ultrabay Slim Drive - Flat Bezel (40Y8623)
My guess is that the last might be designed for the X6 base but also compatible with the X4 base, while the first might be the first version designed when the X40 came out. But what's the difference between a curved and flat bezel, and why is the first (oldest?) model also the more expensive?
I run a X40 with a X4 dock - which one do you think is the most suitable for my machine?
Which Multi-Burner for the X4 Dock?
