How is the Lenovo X41 tablet sleeve? Anyone got pictures?

#1 Post by renhui » Fri Oct 06, 2006 12:12 pm

I am thinking of picking up one of these babies for my x41T, but I couldn't find any large sized pictures online, anyone out there has one of these? how do you like (or dislike) it?
Or, anyone can recommend a good and light case for the x41T?
Thanks for any input!

I own one but sadly i don't have a digicam.
Pro:
+fits perfect for the x41
+you can use the pen while it's inside the sleeve
+perfect access to the pen and all connectors
cons:
-if you want to turn the lcd you have to take the thinkpad out of the sleeve

What do you mean by turn the LCD?
Have used just about every ThinkPad since the T42 days...

I got the sleeve with my laptop but it has one major flaw.... it actually covers up a portion of the screen! Here's a picture I took to demonstrate this:

The yellow line is the outline of the screen. I circled in red where it covers. I don't bother using mine because of this and it's just collecting dust.

turn the lcd:
for "tablet mode" you have to take it out of the sleeve, turn the lcd by 180° and reinsert it into the sleeve
or if you are in tablet mode and want to access the keyboard you have to take it out of the sleeve

i totally disagree that the X41 tablet sleeve case covers more than it should..

i have used it in the field when i had an X41T and it was well designed..

it might be a bit tricky to slide the X41 in, but once done, it offers excellent protection consistent with useability..

Lenovo says it is a reinforcement point for the FPR cut-out.
