x41 with Bluetooth IV and Globesoft Multinetwork mgr

#1 Post by SFJ » Fri Oct 13, 2006 7:47 am

I have downloaded and installed the driver for Bluetooth IV from the IBM site but it installs in Danish even though I am using UK Windows (the computer was purchased with Danish OS, reformatted and UK installed). Once I get the driver installed, Bluetooth works fine but I can no longer access the internet. The computer also has a Globesoft Multinetwork Manager (MNM) installed, which also works fine at home and at my office, as long as the 3rd party Bluetooth software is NOT installed. I've attempted about 20 installs of the driver and each time I have to uninstall it again to be able to access the internet.

1Any suggestions?

UPDATE: I have (somehow) managed to reinstall the 3rd party software and get both bluetooth and the internet to work at the same time. All good. However, there appears to still be some kind of conflict, as I continue to get 2 "Found new hardware" messages--1 for a Bluetooth Lan server and another for Bluetooth high quality audio each time I reboot. If I click install for the Lan server installation, everything breaks down again (Bluetooth and internet). If I click cancel repeatedly, both will work but I get another "found new hardware" message about the audio. It installs on its own but then I get a saying that there was a problem with the installation of the hardware and that it might not work correctly.

This is driving me nuts---what can I do?!
