did you ever get this solved?

i've got a dk23fb-60, per the FW.PRO file i've got the following

; DK23FB-60 60GB
"HITACHI_DK23FB-60B","00M0A0B0","00M0A0B1","M0B11804.bin","hfuh03.exe","M0B11804.cfg",""

but i'm not sure how to force the command like shown at
http://forum.thinkpads.com/viewtopic.php?t=20858

what do you do if you don't have a tbl file?

I'm in the same boat as mono... Changed my *.cfg file, but still it refuses to flash.

Jeeper, there's no .tbl file for your flasher, you will need to change .cfg file first to match your hard drive, and then run fw update utility, i.e.:

hfuh03.exe M0B11804.bin M0B11804.cfg /pm

assuming your hard drive is master on primary channel. Otherwise, use /ps, /sm or /ss flags.

I played with configuration file alittle, and now it went one step futher.
It doesn't refuse the hard drive anymore, but now fails with error:

Preparing the firmware for port 0 master DK13FA-40 .
File access error occured on floppy disk.
( file name = MCB72904.BIN, errcode = 0x00000014 )
port 0 master DK13FA-40 SER#3LJ053 downloading error.

I can read firmeare BIN file OK, so it must be something else... More to follow.

Umm, DOS error code 0x14 is "Unknown unit". Makes sense to me since it might check for drive A: or B: which I don't have (I'm booting off USB drive - C: )

I'll try to prepare a floppy image tonight.

Booting off the floppy didn't help... Must be something else.
