only way i can turn the radio on/off is through the systray wireless connection icon

any ideas

have searched the forum and web and didn't find any specific but a lot of genric related messages

Welcome to the Thinkpad Forums. :)

Have you tried uninstalling and then reinstalling Access Connections and the HotKey manager?

I met someone who looks a lot like you.
She does the things you do.
But she is an IBM.

thanks for the note

no have not tried reinstalling - didn't know i could -- not sure where to find the reinstallation files without doing a total hd restore from the recovery disks.

any ideas on where to look for installation files
