Which Inverter for an X22?

Hi,

I have an X22 that my daughter knocked around, and it seems the video stopped working. I tried replacing the inverter (26P8178) with a 26P8179, and now I get very faint video (you can only read the screen if you shine a flashlight on it).

I guess my question is, should a 26P8179 work in an X22 (in which case there is some other problem) or do I have the wrong inveter altogether? If so, are there any other inverters that will work?

Since you have replaced the inverter, it is possible that the backlight bulb on your LCD is no longer functioning. I have never tried replacing it myself, but from what I hear the part is cheap and the operation is not for novices.
