Trackpoint isnt working

Hey,
I've got a problem which I've solved by using an external mouse.
But that does not last and I want the trackpoint system to work correctly again.
The red mouse pointer in the middel of the keybord works but its the buttons below the space which are not working.
They do register some of the tocuhes if I press hard, a lot of times ans use the right one.
No idea why they are not working - I've tried to reinstall XP but that didnt help.. I have tried to start up in linux using a CD aswell but that didnt work either..
Anyone got any suggestions?

Sounds like your mouse keys are gone. If this is indeed the case you will need a new keyboard (the mouse keys are attached to it). Double check me, but from the Lenovo website the Part Number for a Danish keyboard for an X31 is 08K5082.

Do I have a 2 year warrenty or do I have to buy a new one?

I don't know whether or not you have a warranty on it. The newest ThinkPads come with a standard 1 year warranty, so unless you have some sort of extension on it I would say that you have to buy a new keyboard.

Okay, thanks.. found out that my warrenty has run out so I have to buy a new one.
