X24 Help

#1 Post by Stainless » Fri Nov 17, 2006 8:55 pm

Hi,

I bought an X24 refurb a while back. Very happy with it, but after a few months the hard drive died. I didn't have a chance to image it before it went bad (my bad). I run Windows 2000 and so there was a lot of interesting things that had to be done (IE6, updates, etc.).

I'm pretty happy with how things are at the moment, but I'd missing a couple of things:

a) The on screen display of the volume. The original system put green bars on the screen as the volume was adjusted. Right now, I can adjust the volume, but no onscreen display.

b) I don't have the network configuration tool. Being able to set configurations for home, travel, etc. is pretty handy.

I've tried a couple of different ways to run the whole web update thing. I guess I don't understand or I'm doing something in the wrong order because I always seem to end up with something not working when I'm done (or it just dies horribly in the middle).

If some kind soul could help me navigate through the thicket of driver software to get the volume driver and the network configuration software, I'd truly appreciate it.

Thanks.
