DVD play problem on X30 + Wi-FI solution.

#1 Post by dainova » Fri Dec 15, 2006 7:41 pm

Hi,
I can't play DVD on fresh XP'Pro install (from retail) using any player (let say I play the same DVD on VLC player on another laptop, but can't play it using exactly same VLC on my X30). I can see the drive and do audio though. Device Manager looks fine , is there any special driver reqired, that could be on restore CDs?
my DVD in slice-dock.

also:
I did my homework learning how to intall miniPCI on my X30, but still not clear, how I can check does it have antenna built in or no?

+ is LAN/Modem also on miniPIC ? If yes, so probably I don't have a choice to make it without scrapping LAN or Modem.
Or I hope it somehow built in in other way ?

Will appreciate your help.

Here is my sys:

Product: ThinkPad X30 2672-42U
Original description: PIII-M 1.2GHz (512KB), 256MB RAM, 40.0GB HDD, 12.1 XGA(1024x768) TFT LCD, Modem(CDC), Ethernet(LOM), Li-Ion battery, WinXP Pro
Best
Dai
