did X31s ship with Bluetooth antennas?

#1 Post by alfio » Wed Jan 24, 2007 8:37 am

hi all

i'm looking for an X31 and i'm trying to figure out how IBM (or were these Lenovo builds already?) configured these machines, specifically to see if they shipped with bluetooth antennas.

in T43's, the bluetooth antenna is visible under the left hinge (as seen here http://www.badongo.net/pic/142180, does the same hold for X31's?

I'm in the proccess to add BT to my X31:

My thread

I already have the BMDC card, clean plate and buying the antenna next week and so far what I gather searching this forums is that I was mistaken the WiFi antennas with the BT antenna (and the answer is no, you can't see the WiFi antennas routing through the hinge because is totally cover by the plastic cover)

If you visit the SSP you'll see some drawings of every part in the X31/X31 (part #19 is BT ant) that way you know that (plus the info by zone) that the BT antenna can be easily install)

Good look.

Thanatos.

mine doesn't come with antennas but only w/ wifi antennas.

If lenovo shows your computer specifications to be bluetooth upgradeable then it does. Just like mine says wi-fi upgradable. Though I haven't heard any models that comes with bluetooth upgradable yet.
I love thinkpads
