wireless mini PCI card for X24

Hi,
I would like to install a wireless mini PCI card for my x24. Can anyone give me some advice which card is compatible or some advice about which card I should buy? Thanks.

Here is some information I got from another post.

Broadcom BCM94306MP => no problem to x24,
Broadcom MiniPCI Wireless a/b/g BCM94309MP => can't work on x24
IBM (Atheros) B/G ??? => unknown
IBM (Atheros) A/B/G Adpater II => can't work on x24

I don't know which card I should buy.

I have an X23 & X24. The following will definitely work;

I got a spare ipw2100 card when exchanging the ipw2100 card in my X41 with an Atheros card. I added the spare ipw2100 card to my X23. Everything seems to run smoothly, even though I found no antanna plugs inside the X23.

I saw "underclocker"'s post in another thread.

The Broadcom card doesn't support WPA, but the IBM (Atheros) B/G actually will cause a warning message "01C9".

Do you know any Atheros card that won't have this message and 0182 error without hack? Is there any Atheros or Intel card that can work on X24 without any hack?

I have X21, but I think there no really big difference. I use Gigabyte GN-WI01GS. Very cheap and usefull card. WPA2 there is avalaible and more. All this on Ralink chipset. I didn't get any error messages. And it's work like a charm. I installed antennas , because in X21 isn't.

I guess in X24 is preinstalled antennas, bu may be not. In that seller shop You can get miniPCI cards with Atheros chipset too. And that cards is ready for install in IBM. Hmzz, but not at this moment. Look like they sold out all. But I saw a lot of miniPCI cards on Atheros chipset specially for IBM and very cheap on Ebay. Delivery took about week for me. At first moment I want bought on Atheros too, but accidentaly got this one.

Those antennas look great - they should work very well.

Only X24's with the WiFi or Bluetooth option had preinstalled antennas.

On the ebay seller's website, it shows three types of antenna: type 1, type 2 and type 3. I am wondering which one can have the best signals.
I assume type 3 will have the best result. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Type 2 and 3 , I guess is good enough. Just type 1 , how I know, haven't very good reception. But it's easier to install. Your choice.
