On my Thinkpad X40 I wanted to upgrade to Thinkvantage Access software because the tool was pretty dumb about selecting networks and reconnecting after the lid had been closed. I was hoping the new one was smarter about first trying the SSID it last associated with and then going after the strongest signal.
After the upgrade, I cannot turn on the wireless radio. I'm wondering what to do next.
Thanks,

Upgrading Thinkvantage Access software killed Wi-Fi
Re: Upgrading Thinkvantage Access software killed Wi-Fi
the first thing I would do is uninstall it and then see if you can connect with the native wireless applicationrichwig wrote:On my Thinkpad X40 I wanted to upgrade to Thinkvantage Access software because the tool was pretty dumb about selecting networks and reconnecting after the lid had been closed.
