ultrabase x3 question
ultrabase x3 question
Just bought an ultrabase for the x31 and awaiting for it to arrive in a week or so. Since I notice there is an extra battery you can put in bottom of ultrabase, does this means I can put 1 battle in the notebook and another battery in the ultrabase, making the notebook twice the battery life? (If I have 2 batteries that is)
I love thinkpads

Not correct. On the X3x with X3 ultrabase you can attach a second main system battery to the rear of the ultrabase. The connector is hidden by a removable plastic cover. You get double the battery life because you have two full size, main system batteries.

Well, almost...almost 2X the life...but battery life is more like 1.7X as some battery life is spent providing power to the bits inside the ultrabase.asiafish wrote:Not correct. I can? I need to look at my Ultrabase more closely, it appears. So would this work in addition to an Ultrabay battery?asiafish wrote:Not correct. (Personally, I wouldn't really want to carry the weight and bulk of the Ultrabay around, whether with an Ultrabay battery or a second main battery -- that's why I have the extended battery for the times when I need to get 6+ hours out of the laptop.)
