Need opinion on this wireless card for my x31

Is this pretty comparable in performance next to atheros chipsets? Should i get this? Thanks guys

If it is not a geniune IBM FRU numbered part you are going to have to hack the bios or do some other things in order to get it to work. There are instructions available on the net as to how to do this, although I don't know if there are specific instructions for the card you are thinking about buying. I'd certainly research that before I spent any money on it.

The no-1802 CD disables the check by resetting a byte in the CMOS, so that part is OK. (And it is needed regardless whether this one has an IBM part number as it definitely was not an option for the X31.)

The Broadcom card is not very common with ThinkPads, though, so I have not seen much feedback on these forums on how well it works.
