WWAN card for X series?

I have an X22 I bought off Ebay a year ago and like it. I also drive used cars, never bought a new one in my life.

I have gotten a little spoiled with my work Dell D420 which has a Verizon WWAN card integrated.

Are there units in the X2 or X3 or X4 series that included or at least can support an integrated WWAN card?

I suppose I can buy a PCMCIA card, but I was kind of hoping to find some integrated solution. But without spending the money for a brand-new X60 unit.

the x40/x41 will have wireless intergrated, some models of x30/x31 are wireless integrated, while the rest are wireless upgradable. which means there are already antennas in laptop and you just need to buy mini cpi wireless

Hmmm, I just opened my X23 up and I don't see any wireless antennae in there at all. I assume that only those machines with wireless cards built in have them.

I think some are confusing my question with WiFi (aka WLAN).

No I mean WWAN, a cellular data card. It's quite nice having the Verizon card integrated in my Dell. These are not on 2.4 Ghz, different antennas. Using it I've been able to get connections at quite remote locations. Almost makes up for the evils of it being a Dell.

Sorry about that. I've never heard the words X22 and WWAN together, so I figured you meant WLAN.

To my knowledge it is not possible to put a WWAN card in your X22 via mPCI.

The internal WWAN cars are PC Express Cards, from what I've read - none can be retrofit to an older X-series. This feature is the sole reason I'm considering an X60s.

It'd be great to have this built-in, rather than the clunky pc card I've got now. There's also a Sony model with it I like...

So not even the X40/X41 or T40 units had WWAN capability?

I'm a bit loathe to go with the 60-series. Aside from the money, there's that [censored] Windows key
