I have an X32 and I am confused over whether both Power Manager and Battery Maximiser need to be installed.
Having previously read the readme files for both of these apps, they have led me to believe that Power Manager has superseded Battery Maximiser.
Can anyone shed any light on this, and advise whether any of the power/battery apps should be installed in a particular order.
Thanks,
Mark
X32 Power Manager and Battery Maximiser
power manager is a driver (or such), because I observed that after install it, a yellow "?" sign in device manager had gone. The battery maximiser is a application for seeting up the profiles of power consumption, like the speed of CPU, brightness of LCD.. etc
I did not install battey maximiser, because NHC does the trick, and beyond, I can set up the voltage of the CPU to be lower (undervolt), but the power manager I think it's a must.
Maybe someone else will give U a better response
cheers!

More information
I think I may have the answer. By carefully comparing the actual page for Battery MaxiMiser and Power Management with the readme file I've found the following:
There's a discrepancy for the X32. The main page says *10:Supports Windows NT 4.0 only
The readme says
*9: Supports Windows NT 4.0/2000/XP only
When I did try to install Battery Maximiser it looked as if it overlaid another copy of the Fuel Gauge. This actually tallies as the Power Manager page only supports the X32...
I'll see if I can report this to Lenovo...

in my x31 for some reason, installing power manager might not be fully supported. For instance, I set up power manager for lowest clock setting, but once in awhile it just clocked up at max, and had to change power scheme and revert back to my own setting in order for it to clock back down.
So I think that's why lenovo website shows maximizer for x31 and manager one for x32 and are made to support that way.
