battery meter (the green one)

#1 Post by toomak » Mon Mar 05, 2007 11:10 pm

Hi,
How can I restore the green battery meter (the one on the task bar, not the small blue one)?
Thanks

Look in your Start Menu for the Battery Maximiser Wizard. If it is installed, run it and at some point it will ask you if you want a green battery on your task bar. Make sure the tick box is ticked before you continue, then your green battery will be back.

Otherwise, you'll need to download the Battery Maximiser software from IBM's web site.

Thanks, but all I can find is the Power Manager. No Maximizer available.

What model Thinkpad do you have? The Battery Maximiser is for somewhat older models.

Ah, okay. You'll probably have to dig around the Power Manager to re-enable the green battery. I am not familiar with that software.

If you're running MS Windows XP, then go to http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site. ... MIGR-61583 to download the Power Manger driver. Once you do that, run the executable. If you still don't get the green battery meter to show up in your system tray, then you might have to go to the folder directory that the driver was installed to, and manually initiate the Setup.exe file.
