DVB-T USB with X31?

#1 Post by rikkus » Tue Mar 06, 2007 6:31 pm

I bought a Hauppage DVB-T USB stick which unfortunately doesn't seem to work right with my X31. Video playback stutters and the audio's not in sync.

Does anyone else use a DVB-T USB stick with success?

hi, I am in london. I use the same tv card. It works all right with my T41 and x40. Maybe you can try different positions, because sometimes the signal is not good in everywhere.

Does the DVB-T USB require USB 2 connection? AFAIK the X31 supports USB 1 so the speed is limited.

I also have somewhat similar problem when I try to connect my Winfast TV USB II deluxe through a 4 port usb hub (un-powered). Video skips a lot and not in sync with audio. A direct connection through a cheap 3 meter USB cable works fine. :(

The USB ports on both the X31 and X32 are USB2.0.

Signal

#5 Post by rikkus » Mon Mar 12, 2007 4:11 pm

I think the signal's ok because I'm using the same (loft) aerial as the TV. I've tried disconnecting the TV from the aerial but this didn't help.

Does anyone else use a USB TV (DVB-T) adapter with an X31 or similar?

I have recently bought a ThinkPad dock so might be tempted to use its PCI slot for a TV card instead.
