2.5" HDD on X41

How many inches would a 2.5" HDD plugged into an X41 stick out in the front? 2", 3" or 5" inches?

Dimensions of an X41's 1.8" HDD: 2.36in x 0.37in x 2.75in

Dimensions of a 2.5" HDD: 3.94in x 0.37in x 2.75in

It would stick out 3.94 - 2.36 = 1.58 inches at most.

Interesting idea, and I got around to experiment with the idea and I took some photos for your comparison:

As you seen, the 2.5" HDD sticks out A LOT in the 1.8" HDD slot which renders this idea infeasible.

wow it sticks out a lot. even if i design the plastic the covers, it won't look pretty. thanks for posting.
