Case or Sleeve for X40 w/8-cell?

#1 Post by danny_w » Mon Mar 19, 2007 3:16 pm

What kind of cases do people recommend for an X40 that has the 8-cell battery? I thought that I had seen a thread about that a few days ago but can't find it anywhere. Thanks!

Anybody? I would prefer a small bag (not sleeve) with some room for adapters, etc. Something with handles is perfect.

If you can afford it, get a waterfield RacerX case:

Now: T60 2613-EKU | T23 2647-9NU | 600X 2645-9FU | HP 100LX
Past: X31 2673-Y13 | T41 2374-3HU | T22 2647-AEU

Rules of the road :thumbs-UP:

Although a nice bag, that is a little more than I want to spend, and it also son't fit the 8-cell battery. Lenovo give the dimemsions as:

* Width: 268mm (10.5in)
* Depth:
o 211mm (8.3in) with 4 cell battery
o 236.8mm (9.32in) with 8 cell battery
* Height:
o Minimum: 20.6mm (0.81in)
o Maximum: 26.9mm (1.06in)
* Weight:
o Minimum: 1.23kg (2.7lb)
o Maximum: 1.47kg (3.2lb)

You are guaranteed to find a bag that fits your budget. Also, if you search ebay and look at bags that fit the small Mac laptops...you will be happy with what you find.

Jansport and Tamrac also make some really nice Nylon bags that will hold your laptop and power supply. Again, check ebay for some deals.

Good luck...Bill
