X31 NEEDS Help Please!

#1 Post by sneakyazn » Sat Sep 25, 2004 2:43 pm

I created a backup using rapid restore, all of a sudden my hard drive was reduced to to 20GB on my C drive. How do i delete the backup that i made and just have it back to "normal" with only the 5gb partition? Right now it shows that partition as 15GB. Thanks for any help you can provide, ive been trying to figure this out for about 5 hours now :(.

load rapid restore again as though you are going to do a backup. go on to select backup. when asked to choose where you want to save your backup UNCLICK local hard drive (and make sure nothing else is checked). select okay. that should delete the last backup you made (you'll get warning that you're about to delete the backup).

I tried to do as you said, unfortunately when i click on backup, it does not give me an option of where to save the backup. it just begins with the update for the cumulative backup...

Go to "Schedule your backups" Give it a scheduled time, then the next screen will give you the location options. Then uncheck all of them, and click OK. It will then delete your backups.

Hi Mike,

I tried that, but right after i set the schedule, it just sends me bcak to my main restore screen. Did i do something that removed that option permanently? I hope not...
