Working with X40 on a bed

Is it possible to work on a X40 resting on a soft surface like a pillow? I am thinking about the ventilation. I guess it blows hot air out the side but sucks cold air from where?

It's fine. I do it all of the time. The only thing you really need to watch for is that you want something hard underneath if you want to use the onboard speaker.
